Simon Michlmayr
Simon FBHI

Simon is a second generation watchmaker. He followed in the footsteps of his Austrian father who established his clock and watch business in Norwich in 1958. Both Simon and his brother Peter Michlmayr have carried on in the family tradition of their father. Simon trained in Horology in London where he studied under Peter Roberts, followed by WOSTEP in Switzerland. He has been running his own company since 1986.

Stuart

Stuart is employed by Garrick as a full time watchmaker. He began his career in Horology with Simon in 1987 as an apprentice fresh from school. He is now a highly skilled watch maker and trained in traditional clock repair techniques.

Barrie Lee
Barrie

Barrie completed his WOSTEP training at the British School of Watchmaking in Manchester. He is heavily involved in watch manufacturing and assembling.

Jeremy L'Homme
Jeremy

Jeremy is our watchmaker who has come to us straight from college in his native country of France and is a member of the repair workshop.

Black and white Aaron
Aaron

As a Trainee Watch Technician Aaron is learning all things watchmaking. He has applied to a Government apprenticeship scheme and will be starting his journey in 2023.

Ollie
Ollie

Ollie is a Trainee Clockmaker, and has been with Michlmayr since 2021.  He recently passed his British Horological practicals with 100% and will qualify in 2025.

Jaimie staff
Jaimie

Jaimie is the glue that hold us all together! As our Customer Service expert, Jaimie takes customer enquiries and makes sure everything is running on time.

Richard

Richard is a Rolex accredited watchmaker and has worked for Cartier and other leading watch brands for over 30 years. 

He trained as a tool maker at University of London, before training under Peter Roberts at Hackney Technical College, London. 

Maria

Maria joined Michlmayr in 2022 and she is training to be a tower clock maker. She’s undertaking in house training along with the British Horological Institute Training. 

Richard

Richard started his watchmaking career in 1990 at the Tissot service centre in Essex. In 1993 he joined Swiss Time Services and worked on and gained accreditation for Omega, Longines, Cartier, Ball Watch Company and CWC.  Richard joined Michlmayr as workshop manager in November 2021.

Alex

Alex studied at Birmingham University and graduated with a 1st Class BA Hons in Horology. He is now working as a watch maker for Garrick.
